TESTIMONIALS
Mrs. Freudigman is an unforgettable teacher. Her compassion ensured that music wouldn’t be stressful for me, but still knew when we needed to get down to business. Her flexibility allowed me to grow my musical skills in ways that I would’ve never learned in the classroom. One of my favorite memories was when she assigned “characters” or “personalities” to each piece I played when we found it was easier for me add expression to my music that way. She is also very enthusiastic about what and who she teaches. Her love for music is infectious.
I now study business at UT Austin, but the skill and appreciation I have for music is something that I always take pride in and continue to use frequently. Taking lessons with Mrs. Freudigman taught me skill and discipline, but most importantly, these lessons brought me joy.

I took lessons from Mrs. Freudigman my senior year of high school. I had other teachers in the past but no one like her, she really prepared me for my senior auditions. Her knowledge and way of teaching set me up to be successful in college and now in the professional world. I’m a high school orchestra teacher and I would recommend any of my students to her studio.

I studied viola with Emily for four years during high school (2005 - 2009). It was one of the favorite parts of my week. I really enjoyed the structure of the lessons: studying a scale, then working on an etude to master a certain aspect of playing, and then learning and shaping a piece of repertoire to be my own. Emily was always patient, had an encouraging attitude, and knew when to give you some tough love about your progress if you weren’t putting in the time outside of lessons. Emily is very talented and I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to study with her all throughout high school. I highly recommend her!

Mrs. Freudigman was my musical catalyst. As my very first viola teacher, she not only gave me the tools to play beautifully but continuously inspired me and guided me on my musical journey. I have been able to travel the world performing and studying music and it all began with that very first viola lesson with Mrs. Freudigman.

Emily is a superb teacher and musician. Studying with her allowed me to perform as principal violist of the Youth Orchestras of San Antonio, and she prepared me to win a scholarship to study viola performance at the Peabody Conservatory at Johns Hopkins University. More importantly, however: Emily taught me how to teach myself. Though I am now a lawyer, I still play frequently. I credit Emily for my lifelong love of classical music.”
